A workshop for seeing for Dom Vetro
Dom Vetro is an optical company offering eyewear entirely handcrafted out of their workshop in Los Angeles. With interest in testing in-person appointments, custom consultations, and product display from the existing space, I worked directly with the founder to design and test a hybrid workshop-showroom to host Dom Vetro’s clients and vendors alike.
With limited square-footage available for the prototype space, I opted for a functional environment with limited intervention, focusing on an edited selection of design pieces to pair with custom millwork.
At the core of the experience was a multi-purpose service bar, offering linear surface area for hospitality, customization, and concierge appointments. Built-in shelving and seating made of white oak balanced the seamless white walls and floors, and provided welcomed warmth within an otherwise utilitarian warehouse environment.
